Thompson Hall
Built in 1905, Thompson Hall served as the first unified library of W&J. It is adorned on the outside with Memorial Library and the names of many historical and literary figures. Thompson Hall currently houses the offices of the Registrar, Academic Affairs, Business and Finance, and Human Resources and is located adjacent to Old Main.

Academic Affairs ensures that intellectual inquiry is central to our students’ overall learning experience, supports faculty and staff in shaping the content of this inquiry and securing its high standard and quality, and leads the conversation—locally, regionally, and nationally—about the purpose and value of a liberal arts education.
The Business Office serves W&J students, their families, and other offices and departments on campus by answering questions concerning student billing, accepting payments, cashing personal and payroll checks, processing invoices for payment, and by providing financial reports and analysis.
Facility Services provides general maintenance, grounds, and custodial support for the entire Washington & Jefferson College campus. The Office of Facility Services is dedicated to improving the quality of the W&J experience for students, faculty, staff and visitors.
The Office of Human Resources provides Washington & Jefferson College employees with support, guidance and useful information about employment opportunities, employee benefits and services, wellness plans and more.
The Office of Assessment and Institutional Research is responsible for leading the College to prepare for accreditation activities, to comply with federal and state regulations, to create and implement a comprehensive college-wide assessment strategy and plan, and to train faculty and staff on assessment procedures and processes.
The Office of the Registrar provides service to past, current and future students of Washington & Jefferson College, supplying academic transcripts, enrollment and degree verifications, course offerings and other academic information to the W&J community.
