The W&J Wind Ensemble will feature W&J Professor Mark Swift in performing George Gershwin’s arguably most recognizable work, “Rhapsody in Blue.”
Mark Swift attended Davidson College for its intimate, liberal arts setting, where he focused his talent in piano study with Dr. James Swisher. He regularly performs as a pianist in chamber groups performing 20th century and contemporary works. The Wind Ensemble will also be performing repertoire by composers including Percy Grainger, Johannes Brahms, and Julius Fucik.
