Thomas Contreras, Ph.D.

Tom Contreras is a broadly trained ecologist with interests in landscape ecology, behavioral ecology, and conservation biology. His current interests are focused on how habitat loss affects the movement and distribution of plants and animals. He teaches a variety of courses related to ecology and behavior including, animal behavior, conservation biology, field biology, and field ornithology. He also teaches vertebrate anatomy, biology seminar, foundations in evolution and biodiversity, as well as first-year seminar. He and his students have also been active participants in collaborative projects through the Ecological Research as Education Network (EREN).
