Proving Professional Readiness
“Whenever I was looking for an internship, I really wanted some leadership aspect,” Knowell said. “I wanted to show on my resume that I had some leadership experience and that I’m capable of leading.”
Leading the Way
“I know the benefits of collaboration and cooperating with others, and really being able to respect all sides of a situation,” Joachim said. “Even in my closer, more personal relationships, I’ve learned to be more tolerant of other people, and understand that people have events in their lives that have led them to be who they are, and I have to always respect that.”
Scoring for the Team
“I don’t think I could have done this anywhere else or on any other team,” Davis said. “I definitely think it’s the uncommon integrity mindset. Everybody here is a different level of human being, really.”
Leading the Way
“I pre-date the BSU. The BSU did not exist when I was a student at W&J. But I recruited the students that started the BSU. And I worked with the students that founded the BSU. And that was an awesome experience. It was a great group of students that came through W&J at that time, and they were just what we needed.” – Bob Adkins 87′, Dean of Admission
Leading the Way
“[In the lab], I felt like…I was in the midst of developing science,” Kunkle said. “I read manuscripts and grants, and Dr. [Jessica] Klusek, [the associate professor of communication sciences and disorders at the University of South Carolina who directed the lab], would email me research and say, ‘Hey, we’re looking to get this published next week, can you look over it?’ And just being a part of that was really amazing.”
