WASHINGTON, PA (April 18, 2019)–Associate Professors of Economics Rob and Leslie Dunn, Ph.D., traveled with four senior economics majors to the Southern Regional Science Association conference in Arlington, Va., from April 4-6. The students presented posters summarizing their senior thesis capstone research in an undergraduate poster session, and the Dunns also presented their own research in separate sessions.
The students presented the following projects:
- Luke Clahane, Determinants of Performance in a Specialized Workforce: Evidence from Professional Soccer
- Abigail Eich, The Effect of Pharmaceutical Expenditures on Life Expectancy
- Cian Kelly, Economic and Financial Indicators to Predict Recovery Out of Recessions
- Maya Nilkant, An Economic Analysis of Medicaid Eligibility Expansions and Their Effect on Teenage Fertility in the US from 1990-2016
Dr. Rob Dunn presented Mobility, Race, and Commute Time in the Pittsburgh Metropolitan Area and Dr. Leslie Dunn presented Convergence of Small Island Economies: The Role of Trade.
